Take a short hike up the Spring Box Meadow hill to North Trail 3 from the Buford Access Road and the Sheriff's Mounted Posse horse arena. Please note: near its trailhead on Buford Access Road, Trail 38 crosses an ephemeral stream which can flood areas around the trailhead seasonally.
