Trail 2 is a popular connection between the East Trailhead and the Summit. It starts on a BPA service road leading out of the parking area along a wet prairie. After passing by the East Kiosk it begins a gentle climb up the southeastern slopes of the mountain. After the junction with Trail 4 it gets steeper and a bit rockier, crosses a BPA power line and Trail 46, and continues through an oak forest.
It then follows the edge of an open hillside prairie, climbing the mountainside more steeply until cresting near its terminus at Trail 1 just below the Summit. This trail provides splendid long distance views of the valleys and mountains to the southeast of Mt. Pisgah.
Dogs must remain on leash at all times on Trail 2.
