Location: The Lower Trailhead is located at Oliver Lee Memorial State Park, 14 miles south of Alamogordo, New Mexico. The Upper Trailhead is located on Forest Road 90B, 21 miles south of High Rolls, New Mexico.

Driving Directions:
To reach the lower trailhead, begin in the southern part of Alamogordo at US 70 and US 54 intersection just west of the overpass. Drive US 54 south 8.7 miles to the signed junction for Oliver Lee Memorial State Park. Turn left and follow paved County Road A 016 east 4.0 miles to the park. Pay the self service fee at the entrance and park near the visitor center. The signed trail starts at the northeast corner of the building.
To reach the upper trailhead, a high clearance vehicle is mandatory. In High Rolls, begin at the junction of US 82 and Forest Road 90, also signed West Side Road and County Road A 061. Drive 18.0 miles south on FR 90, a sometimes rutty and muddy road, to the signed FR 90B junction. Turn right and follow FR 90B south 2.8 miles to the signed upper trailhead at a dry earthen tank, both on the left. It is recommended walking FR 90B, because of its rough conditions.
