This is an easy, flat loop walk through the North Bottomlands floodplain forest, along the edge of meadows and back to the North Parking lot. Start on the river side of the North Parking lot and turn right on the gravel Coast Fork Trail (Trail 8) and follow it through the woods to Parrish Meadow, turn left and follow the gravel path until it peters out and becomes a natural earth trail until it curves and joins up with the old Frank Parrish Road. Turn left and follow the road until you see the trail marker leading off to the right through the bottom of Thompson Slough. The trail reemerges into Thompson Meadow, turn right and follow the mowed-grass path along the edge of the woods. This trail can be full of gopher holes so watch your step! The mowed trail will change from season to season to just follow the most obvious path along the woods. The trail then crosses into the Seavey Orchard Meadow and wraps around the Sheriff's Mounted Posse horse arena before connecting up with the Buford Access Road. Follow Buford Access Road back to the North Parking Lot.
