Have you ever seen a raptor in the wild? Not a velociraptor, but rather a raptor – a bird of prey! We have a wide variety of raptors in New Hampshire some that live here and some that just pass through. Come join Tailwinds: Raptor Education and Conservation(link is external), to get an introduction to some of the raptors that call New Hampshire home, meet live raptor ambassadors in person and learn something new.
Participants will learn about the importance of our raptors in the health of our ecosystems and in our own health, be introduced to multiple species of raptors, and also learn the simple ways that they can help our local raptors right now – like not using rodenticide and not throwing food out of our car windows. There will also be time for Q&A and photos following the program.
